Today this coastal town is popular with tourists and sailing enthusiasts.

The beach and harbour are within walking distance. Shops for daily needs are in the immediate vicinity.

The main beach of the resort is called Playa de Porto Cristo. It is located in the middle of the town and has a tree lined promenade, restaurants and shops.
